Listened to what you stated the church should not be involved in (entertainment etc.). I agree wholeheartedly. My question is where in the New Testament is it authorized that the local church should spend time and resources in teaching children. Isn’t this placed squarely in the individual realm? the parental realm?
Hello again. The church is equipped with teachers (Acts 13:1; Eph. 4:11; Heb. 5:12-14). By such verses, the church is authorized to send teachers to teach (and to supply them with whatever materials help them in that work). I know of no limitations on who they may teach. I agree that parents MUST teach their children (Eph. 6:4). Whether a particular church teaches children involves a series of judgments.
