A Parent’s Love is Not Enough
In an online interview with a father whose son committed suicide, the father bravely answered a question regarding what he has learned in hindsight. Among his thoughts were "I thought my love would be enough." Though he did not mean that his love could replace God's love, it is easy for parents to over-estimate the influence of their love. Having three children, I thought about this statement and prepared this lesson as a reminder to parents, or anyone who seeks to influence children whom they love.
